Holger Krag acquired his PhD at the University of Braunschweig as an Aerospace Engineer focussing on space debris modelling and surveillance. After working as System Engineer on the Galileo Ground Segment in industry, he joined as an Analysist in the Space Debris Office. In 2014, he took the position of the Head of the Space Debris Office. In 2019, he initiate the Agency’s Space Safety Programme and took over the position as the head of the programme, which addresses the protection of our infrastructure from space hazards such as Space Weather, Asteroids and Space Debris. He is lecturing on Space Debris at universities in Germany.
